Monardella odoratissima, Benth. Cinereous-puberulent, or nearly glabrous: 9-12 in. tall: lvs. narrowly oblong to broadly lanceolate, entire or nearly so, short-petioled, or the upper subsessile, firm in texture; veins inconspicuous: bracts thin-membranaceous and colored (whitish or purple). Dry hills, Wash., Ore., and through higher mountains of Calif., Nev., Utah.—Odor of pennyroyal.
