Mutisia decurrens, Cav. Climbing, the sts. somewhat branched, glabrous: lvs. remote, oblong-lanceolate and entire, acuminate, dark green above and glaucous beneath, tendril bifid, the base of the blade decurrent: head solitary, 4½ in. across, the rays brilliant orange. Chile. B.M. 5273. F.S.23:2408. G.C. 111.50:451, 452. Gn.W. 24:784.—Perhaps the best species.
