Phyllodoce erecta, Drude (Bryanthus erectus, Lindl.phyllothamnus erectus, Schneid.). Hybrid between the preceding species and Rhodothamnus Chamaecistus. Six to 10 in.: lvs. slightly serrate, glabrous, 1/2in. long: fls. 2-10, corolla rotate-campanulate, rosy pink, 1/2in. across. F.S. 7:659. J.F. 1:58.Originated about 1845 in the nursery of Cunningham & Fraser, at Comely Bank, Edinburgh. CH
