Placea lampenii. Booth. Botanically only a variety of P. pulchellus, but horticulturally very much superior. Shrub; attaining 6-8 ft.: lvs. oblong-lanceolate, 4-5 x 1/2-1in., sharply serrate: fls. in short, axillary leafy panicles, very numerous and crowded; styles very small. Van Dieman's Land. G.C.
