Ranunculus psilostachys, Griseb. (R. nyssanus, Petrov.). Perennial, about 18 in. high, appressed silky pubes- cent: sts. branched: radical lvs. broadly orbicular, subcordate, deeply 3-parted, divisions cuneate, incise- lobed: fls. numerous, large, shining citron-yellow, 2 in. across; sepals reflexcd: achenes in a cylindrical spike, ovate, slightly verrucose, beak straight, as long as the body. Servia, Macedonia, and Greece. G.C. III. 46:163.
