Rhododendron arbutifolium. Two species or hybrids are involved here. The synonyms R. oleaefolium and R. Wilsonii should be eliminated. R. arbutifolium is probably a hybrid of R. ferrugineum and R. carolinianum. The lvs. are elliptic, not "to elliptic-lanceolate," and the size is 1 1/2 – 2 1/2 in.
