Rudbeckia bicolor, Nutt. Annual, 1-2 ft. high: lvs. 1-2 in. long: rays yellow, with a blackish purple base or all yellow. Pine woods or sandy soil, Ark., Texas, and east to Ga. Var. superba, Hort.
