Inula hookeri, C. B. Clarke. Height 1-2 ft., usually very shaggy above: lvs. 3-5 in. long, sessile or narrowed into very short petioles, oblong-lanceolate, acute at the base, minutely toothed, glandular: heads l ½ -2 ½ in. across; rays "pale yellow," according to Hooker. Himalayas. B.M. 6411 (rays pure yellow).—Fls.orange-yellow, according to J. W. Manning. It is said to flower in Aug. and Sept., and has bright yellow fringed rays. However, in B.M. 6411 the rays have only 3 minute teeth.
