Iris neglecta, Hornm. Lvs. slightly glaucous, 12-15 in. long, ensifonn, purple at the base: st. taller, 1 ½ - 2 ft., many-fld.: spathe-valves green below at flowering-time, much tinged with purple: outer segms. obovate-cuneate, very obtuse, 2 in. long, violet-blue on the margin, whitish veined with blue in the center; beard yellow; inner segms. erect or connivent, oblong, as large as the outer, pale lilac. June. B.M. 2435.— Known only in cult. Probably a hybrid between I. pallida and I. variegata.
