Veronica macrocarpa, Vahl. A half-hardy species with many forms allied closely to V. salicifolia but readily distinguished by the generally narrower, thicker, smoother, darker green lvs., the larger white fls. and the much larger caps., thrice as long as the calyx. Late spring. Frequently in poor clay soil. New Zeal. Gn. 78, p. 7.-V. latisepala, T. Kirk, is a handsome plant differing from the above in its deep violet fls., broad calyx-lobes and secund caps.
