Ixora javanica, DC. Glabrous shrub with lvs. 4—7 in. long, ovate-oblong, acute or acuminate: corymb terminal, long-peduncled with forking coral-red branches; fls. deep orange-red, the lobes rounded, the corolla-tube 1 1/2 in. long, slender, red. Java. B.M. 4586. J.F. 2:156.
