Spiraea margaritae, Zabel (S. japonica x S. superba). Shrub, 5 ft. high, puberulous: lvs. ovate-elliptic to elliptic, coarsely and often doubly serrate, pubescent on the midrib beneath and pale green, 2-3 in. long: fls. rather large, bright pink, in broad corymbs; sepals spreading in fr.: follicles upright, glabrous, with upright styles. July, Aug. Of garden origin.—Handsome, very free-flowering form. CH
