Crinum crassipes, Baker. Bulb very large, conical, without neck: Lvs. sword-shaped, 3-4 ft. long, 4 in. broad and long-tapering to the apex, entire: fls. 15-20, in a stout compressed peduncle less than 1 ft. long, the pedicels 1-1½ in. long; tube about 3 in. long, slightly curved, green; segms. oblanceolate, ½in. broad, equaling the tube, ascending, white tinged red on the back; filaments purple, nearly equaling the segms. Probably Trop. Afr. CH
