My garden, Española, New Mexico, late August 2006, about 8 A.M. Plants include
- Sphaeralcea sp., probably angustifolia (globemallow, orange, out of focus in left foreground, flowers not open yet)
- Mirabilis multiflora (desert four-o'clock, purple, lower right and left center)
- Datura wrightii (sacred datura, white flowers, right center)
- Verbesina encelioides (golden crownbeard, yellow, back)
- Krascheninnikovia (syn. Ceratoides and Eurotia) lanata (winterfat, whitish foliage, upper left)
