Cocos schizophylla, Mart. Trunk, 6-9 ft. high: lvs. 6-9 ft. long; segms. 30-40, linear, acuminate, 12-16 in. long: spadix up to 3 ft. long: drupe orange-red. Brazil.— Described as a strong-growing species, useful for planting out in Fla. and Calif.
