Araucaria bidwillii, Hook. Fig. 305. Rather narrow in growth, especially with age, the branches simple: Lvs. in two rows, lance- ovate and very sharp- pointed, thick, firm and shining. Austral., where it attains a height of 150 ft., and is known as bunya-bunya. R.H. 1897, p. 500, desc. G.C. III. 15:465, showing the pineapple-like cone.—One of the best and handsomest species for pots.
