Cypripedium arietinum, R. Br. Plant about 6 in. high, slender: Lvs. lanceolate: fls. small, resembling a ram's head, terminal, solitary: upper sepal ovate-lanceolate, brownish green; petals linear; labellum tapering at the apex, white veined with red- dish purple, clothed with white, woolly hairs near the aperture.
