In the wild Disocactus flagelliformis is epiphytic and so is ideal for hanging baskets. The long slender stems can get to 2.5cm thick and will reach anywhere between 1.2m and 2m in length. During early spring, bright-pink, tubular flowers around 5cm in length are formed on the stems. These flowers will last for a few days.
