It's also called Rogn (Norwegian), Almindelig Røn (Danish), Kotipihlaja, Pihlaja (Finnish), Reyniviður (Islandic), Eberesche (German). The tree belongs to the family Rosaceae, its orange berries have several uses. Image taken just north west of Gothenburg, Sweden. It was taken by Martin Olsson (mnemo on wikipedia and commons, martin@minimum.se), 17th of August 2005. The camera used was a Sony Cybershot DSC-W1 which has 5.1 megapixels.
