Iochroma coccineum, Scheidw. Shrubby, the branches pubescent: lvs. stalked, oblong, undulate and somewhat repand, long-acuminate, hairy on nerves and veins: fls. in an umbel-like fascicle, drooping, scarlet; corolla long-tubular, about 2 in. long, with a narrow border or limb; calyx about ¼ in. long, broadly short-toothed. Cent. Amer. F.S. 12:1261. L. H. B.
