Petalostemum tenuifolium, Gray. Silky Prairie Clover. Erect, somewhat pubescent, branching, 1-2 ft. high: lvs. short-petioled; lfts. 3-5, linear, obtuse, glandular- dotted, margin somewhat involute, 1/4 -1/2 inlong, nearly sessile: spikes cylindric, 1/2-1 1/2 in. long, about 1/2in. thick; rachis pubescent; fls. rose-purple, about 1/4in. long; bracts ovate-pointed pubescent, equaling the calyx; standard somewhat orbicular to cordate.
