Polemonium foliosissimum, Gray. Sts. solitary and erect, 1-3 ft. tall, simple or branched, hairy at base and viscid above, from a woody short rootstock: herbage strong- scented; ivs. many; lfts. lanceolate to ovate lanceolate, usually less than 1 in. long: fls. commonly white or cream-colored, rarely violet, an inch or less long, corymbose-cymose, the corolla twice the length of the calyx; stamens and style not exserted: caps, nearly globose. Rocky Mts. Cult, some years ago, but perhaps never offered in Amer. CH
