Fragaria daltoniana, Gay (F. sikkimensis, Kurz). Small plant with red sts. to the very slender runners, offered as a rock-garden subject or carpeter: hairy or nearly glabrous: fls. solitary; calyx-lobes and bracts toothed: fr. long (1 in. long by half as broad), bright scarlet, with little flavor. Himalayas, 10,000 ft. and upward. CH
