Undemanding but prefers a good substrate, at least moderate light. Benefits from additional CO2. Tropical or cool water [[aquarium]]. Prefers slightly acidic water conditions. Suitable for warmer [[ponds]] as a marginal plant. Can even be grown as a floating plant.
Widely used as a foreground plant.
