Ipomoea arborescens, Don. An erect, woody, tree-like plant, reaching 15-20 ft. height: twigs and foliage finely velvety-pubescent: lvs. ovate-cordate: sepals oval, obtuse, ¼ in. long, pubescent within and without: fls. white, 2 in. long: seeds black with a long coma of white hairs on the dorsal angles. Mex. G.F. 7: 364.—Requires a dry cool air like most of the cacti and makes an interesting companion plant to them in a cactus-house.
