Lvs. about 6 in a tuft, finally 1 ½ -2 ft. long, bright green: st. nearly obsolete: spathes 2-3- fld.; valves 4-6 in. long, scarious at the tip only, shorter than the tube: tube 5-6 in. long, filiform, exserted from the spathe; limb bright lilac, rarely white; outer segms. 2 ½ -3 in. long, 1 in. broad, with a yellow keel, streaked with lilac on a white ground at the throat; inner segms. oblong.
