Also cult, abroad under glass.—G. bellidifolia, Saliab. (syn. G. spinosa).— G. spinosa. Linn. One ft. and more: radical lvs. obovate, attenuate into petiole. 3-7-toothed at apex; st.-lvs. lanceolate and sessile: head larger than in G. vulgaris; calyx 2-lipped, the tube ciliate and throat barbed; upper lip of corolla 2-parted, lower 3-parted.
