Climbing species with up to 6 bright green, 2 <X>1/2</X> in (6 cm) wide flowers with varying degrees of red-brown blotches, in winter and spring. The labellum is bright bluish purple. Long, distinct rhizome between pseudobulbs and ascending habit, makes it suitable for slab culture using treefern as medium.
