[[Lemna]] minor, Linn.  Fronds usually cohering in 3's or 4's, rather thick, not minutely toothed, 1-2 1/2 lines long.

Other species of Lemna are native in N. Amer. Of Wolffia there are also a few species and of Wolffiella one. The wolffias are seldom collected for lawn pond.
