Habenaria militaris, Reichb. f. (H. pusilla, Reichb. f.). Bluish glaucous: fls. numerous; lip scarlet, trifid, midlobe bifid; spur long and very slender, greenish white. Cochin-China. R.H. 1888:396. J.H. III. 33:53. G.M. 36:436. O.K. 4:209; 9:297.—The author says of this fine plant: "No English soldier can boast a jacket of a deeper scarlet than the lip of our plant." Not in American trade.
