Viminaria (Latin, vimen, a slender twig or withe, alluding to the branches). Leguminosae. Shrub, with rush-like branches, adapted to greenhouse cult.: lvs. alternate, reduced to long filiform petioles or rarely 1-3-foliate: fls. small, orange-yellow, arranged in terminal racemes; calyx-teeth short, equal; petals rather long-clawed, standard suborbicular, wings oblong, keel incurved, equaling the wings; stamens free; ovary subsessile, 2-ovuled: pod sessile, ovoid-oblong, rather indehiscent.—One species, Austral., little known to horticulturists.
