A smooth-std. perennial with paniculately, much-branched facies, 2-3 ft.: Lvs. slender, those of the st. narrowly linear and acute, not over 2½ in. long, usually shorter: fls. very numerous, the heads not over ¾ in. wide, and composed of 15-25 white rays.
