Nymphaea micrantha, Guill. & Perr. Lvs. elliptic, entire in apical half, rest of margin sinuate; sinus deep; lobes spreading, much produced and acuminated, bearing bulbs which produce new plants at the top of the petiole; under side of lf. green, tinged with purplish brown and minutely dotted: fls. small, white, 3-5 in. across; calyx pale green, unspotted; petals lanceolate, very acute. West coast of Afr. B.M. 4535.—N. Daubeniana, Hort., intro. in 1912 by W. Tricker, is a pale blue form of this, possibly a hybrid with N. caerulea.
