Streptocarpus saundersii, Hook. Acaulescent: lf. solitary, sessile, flat on the ground, 14 x 12 in., very broadly elliptic, short-hairy on both surfaces, crenate, yellowish green above, purple-rose beneath: scapes 1-5 from the axil, 10-18 in. high, sometimes bearing a small lf. near the base; cyme repeatedly divided, 40-80-fld.: calyx-lobes narrow-oblong, hairy; corolla pale blue with purple blotches in the throat, tube somewhat funnel-shaped, a little curved, limb oblique, 2 lobes much shorter.
