Acer nikoense, Maxim. Fig. 100. Tree, 40ft.: branchlets pubescent: lfts. ovate or oblong-elliptic, short-stalked, acute, entire or obtusely dentate, 2-5 in. long, villous-pubescent beneath, petioles hairy, 3/4-l 1/2 in. long: corymb few-fld., pubescent: fr. on nodding pedicels 1/3-1/2in. long; nutlets thick, hairy; wings upright, curved inward.
