Lilium concolor, Salisb. Star Lily. Bulb cespitose, similar to that of L. Buschianum, Lodd.), is allied to L. concolor, but differs from it in the bulb being solitary and more oval, the leaves slightly wider and of a deeper green, the flowers appearing earlier, slightly smaller and more thickly spotted. S. E. Siberia and Manchuria. Var. luteum. Hort., from Mongolia, produces rich yellow, spotted flowers—L. sinicum, Lindl., resembles L. pulchellum, but grows 2-3 ft. high and produces 4-6 larger flowers China and S. Siberia. CH
