Spiraea trilobata, Linn. (S. triloba, Linn.). Fig. 3663. Shrub, 4 ft. high, with slender spreading branches: lvs. almost orbicular, incised-dentate and often 3-lobed, obtuse, pale bluish green beneath, 1/2 – 1 in. long: fls. pure white, in many-fld. umbels; sepals upright in fr.: follicles with ascending styles. May, June. N. China to Siberia and Turkestan. L.B.C. 13:1271. G.F. 1:452. F.E. 30:45 (as S. crataegifolia).—Handsome bushy shrub, quite hardy; cult. under many different names as S. aquilegifolia, S. adiantifolia, S. crataegifolia, S. Blumei. CH
