Spiraea menziesii, Hook. (S. Douglasii var. Menziesii, Presl). Upright shrub, 4 ft. high, with brown, at first puberulous, branches: lvs. oblong-obovate to oblong, coarsely and unequally serrate above the middle, pale green beneath, 1 1/2 - 3 in. long: fls. small, pink, in rather narrow, 5-8-in.-long panicles; stamens more than twice as long as the roundish petals; sepals reflexed in fr.
