Colvillea racemosa, Bojer. Tree, 40-50 ft. high, with the general aspect of Poinciana regia but with a thicker trunk and ampler foliage: branches very long and spreading: Lvs. about 3 ft. long, alternate, remote, twice pinnate, with 20-30 pairs of pinnae which are opposite, 4 in. long, and have 20-28 pairs of Lfts., each ½in. long: keel very small, almost covered by the wings; free stamens 10, 3 inserted below the standard, 2 under the wings, 1 under the keel, and 4 under the ovary.
