Primula kitaibeliana, Schott. Lvs. more or less glandular-pilose, viscid, the glands discolored, subglaucous, intense-smelling, elliptic or oblong-lanceolate, gradually narrowed to the long petiole, acute or obtuse, margin entire or toward the apex wavy-denticulate: scape glandular, shorter than the lvs., bearing 1-2 fls.: bracts herbaceous, linear: fls. rose or lilac, with white throat; calyx glandular, reddish, split almost to the middle, with ovate or oblong, acute or obtuse lobes; corolla-tube white, the limb almost flat, 3/4-1 in. across, the throat glandular with emarginate, obcordate lobes: caps. included in the calyx. Mountains of S. E. Eu.— Needs a moist shady place. CH
