Euptelea Franchetii, Van Tieghem (E. Davidiana, Hemsl., not Baill.). Tree, to 40 ft.: Lvs. long-petioled, usually roundish-ovate, cuspidate, fairly regularly sinuate- dentate, light green below, 2-4 in. long: carpels usually 2-3-seeded April. Cent, and W. China.
