Ravenia spectabilis, Griseb. (Lemonia spectabilis, lindl.). Tender shrub: lfts. 3: fls. purplish red, about 1 in. across, solitary or in open, few-fld. clusters on axillary peduncles as long as the lvs. Cuba. B.R. 26:59. R.H. 1844:25.—The plant once offered in Fla. as Lemonia spectabilis apparently is of some other genus, F.W.Barclay.
