Lonicera ledebourii, Esch. (L. intermedia, Kellogg). Similar to the preceding, but more vigorous: branches sometimes sarmentose, to 15 ft. long: lvs. of firmer texture, dark green above, pubescent beneath: fls. more salver-shaped, with rounded, spreading lobes, scarletred outside, ¾ in. long; stamens shorter than lobes. May-July; fr. July-Sept. Calif. Gt. 2:64. R.H. 1843:373. H.U. 5:6. B.M. 8555.—Much handsomer than the preceding, but more tender.
