Rulingia pannosa, R. Br. Eventually a shrub, several feet high, but flowering freely at a young age: lvs. scabrous-pubescent above, densely velvety hirsute below, on older plants ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, on young plants broader and often 3-4-lobed: cymes shortly pedunculate; fls. white. B. M. 2191.—The plant offered in Calif. as Pomaderris apetala is said to belong here Prized by some for the fleecy coating of its lvs.
