Candelilla (Euphorbia antisyphilitica) is a shrubby spurge native to southwest Texas and Mexico, having densely clustered, erect, essentially leafless stems that yield the multipurpose Candelilla wax. They are thus also called "wax plant" on occasion, but this name is usually taken to refer to the unrelated genus Hoya.
