Mitchella repens, Linn. Partridge-berry. Squaw-berry. Fig. 2380. Lvs. opposite, round-ovate, petioled, with minute stipules, often whitish veined: fls. in pairs, on the apex of a peduncle. Nova Scotia to Minn., south to Fla. and Mex. Mn. 3:49. L.B.C. 10:979. Gn.M. 2:19.—Attractive in half-shaded spots in the wild garden and rockeries. Prop. by division.
