Anisacanthus wrightii, Gray. Height, 2-4 ft.: Lvs. 1-2 in. long, oblong- or ovate-lanceolate, acute or acuminate: fls. racemose, or paniculate-racemose, the corolla vermilion or purplish red, 1½-2 in. long, the lip shorter than the tube; calyx deeply 5-cleft.
