Selaginella erythropus, Spring. Sts. under a foot long, deltoid and decompound above, the lower pinnae 3-pinnate, the ultimate divisions 1/12-1/8 in. wide: lvs. of lower plane oblong-lanceolate, acute, strongly ciliated; lvs. of upper plane one-half as long, cuspidate. Trop. Amer.—S. setosa, Hort., is said to be a starved form. CH
