Sempervivum wulfenii, Hoppe. Developed rosettes 1 1/2 - 2 in. diam., the new ones nearly sessile: lvs. about 50 to a rosette, obovate-cuneate, cuspidate, slightly glaucous, with only a faint tint of red-brown at the very tip, outer lvs. 3/4 - 1 x 3/8 in.; cauline lvs. lanceolate, 1 – 1 1/2 in. long: fl.-st. including infl. 6-9 in. high, densely pilose upward: fls. 12-14-merous, pale yellow, in a short dense panicle which is 2-3 in. diam., its branches densely pilose; calyx short-pilose, segms. lanceolate; petals linear, densely glandular-puberulent externally.
