Spiraea pikowiensis, Bess. (S. crenata x S. media. S. Nicoudiertii, Hort.). Shrub, 4 ft. high, with terete upright branches: lvs. oblong, cuneate at base, with few sharp teeth at the apex or sometimes entire, penninerved to 3-nerved, almost glabrous, 1-2 in. long: fls. white or greenish white, in many-fld. almost glabrous umbels; petals orbicular, shorter than stamens; sepals upright in fr.: follicles with the upright style somewhat below the apex. May.—Supposed natural hybrid, found wild in Podolia, Poland. CH
